Unknown Behavior

About

An independent research organization on AI behavior under uncertainty.

Unknown Behavior studies how AI and decision systems behave under uncertainty: where automation drifts past its mandate, where incentives distort outcomes, where a model that looked reliable in evaluation produces unsafe actions in production. Current focus is healthcare AI and runtime control infrastructure for autonomous AI in any high-stakes domain.

Katherine Solano

Katherine is the founder of Unknown Behavior. Her recent operational work includes a healthcare-throughput engagement at a 400-patient-per-month primary care clinic in Lima, Peru, where she identified intake as the system constraint and led a redesign that cut patient wait times by 50% and no-show rates by 40%.

She previously founded ZØNA, a two-sided consumer marketplace that scaled to 100,000+ downloads in its first year.

MBA, Pepperdine. MS in Management and Analytics, NYU.
